Australia and New Zealand have some of the most exacting fuel standards in the world and at BPL we are proud to say that the biodiesel manufactured by us adheres to and surpasses these high standards making it one of the most effective biofuels in the world.

To achieve this BPL has acquired rights to the technology platform of Biodiesel International AG (BDI), an Austrian based company aligned with the University of Graz and Professor Martin Mittlebach. BDI’s technology is proven on multi-feedstocks including tallow. It is, in our view, the only technology capable of producing biodiesel from 100% tallow in commercial quantities.

BDI has over twelve operating plants and another fourteen under construction around the world with many operating on tallow.

Importantly the relationship with BDI doesn’t stop with the construction of our manufacturing plant. BDI continues to provide full support to BPL via yield and fuel quality guarantees, around the clock technical support and access to the latest developments in biodiesel technology to guarantee further growth.
